Before you turn to the traditional gift basket for the holidays, as a token of your appreciation at work or for a friend, let Imprint Group give you a fresh take on the ‘ol basket standby with something sure to impress your giftee.
Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy the gift of food. Anytime I’ve personally received a gift basket of yummy treats, I look upon those premium chocolates, the bottle of wine and the gourmet mini-pretzels and I melt a little inside. In fact, food might be my love language. But with every gift basket you know that they were pre-ordered online and made to fit the masses, which means my connection to that person, the giver, immediately runs short the moment the leftovers hit the garbage can.
At Imprint Group, we are a people-oriented industry. As “creatives” we consistently engage with our clients regarding their event planning needs. We take the same “people-oriented” approach when it comes time to picking out that special holiday gift for our favorite client. Gift giving is all about sharing. Sharing comes out of a love or respect for that intended person. You are essentially saying, “I care enough about you, I am going to get you a gift that means something to YOU.” So, how to we move BEYOND the traditional gift basket? Here is a list of my top 5 favorite holiday gifts for clients for 2017:
Local Brews and Booze Gift: Give your guests a local Denver flair with a Mini Christmas Ale Keg from Breckenridge Brewery & Mini Laws Whiskey Bottles. Both local companies, these adorable mini gifts will sure to be memorable for guests. Remember, booze is always better when shared among friends!
The Give-Back Gift: Companies like Giftback & Kiva are organizations that offers gift cards that allow the recipient to choose the borrower he or she wants to support. Our clients have the ownership and choice of their preferred organization to support!
“Coloradical” Clothes: Whether you’re a native or a native at heart, repping Colorado is an important aspect of life in the Centennial state. Luckily, Mile High designers have caught on and created some stylish looks that any “local” could love. Give some cozy items like a “Coloradical” Hat or a state flag adorned ski jacket or sweatshirt.
A Local Membership: For the museum lovers, consider giving your client a year-long member ship to a local museum. Whether it’s art or science, they can keep going back and enjoy the membership perks as well (bringing guests, attending special exhibits etc.)
The Sweet Tooth: Now I’m not going to disparage all food-related gift ideas. Take the initiative and support a Colorado local shop like Temper Chocolates, located at the Denver Central Market in Downtown Denver. Producing chocolates before your eyes, you can choose from an eclectic assortment of ready-made truffles. Not only are these eye-catching sweet treats, but they are super yummy as well!
