Imprint Group Wins Big in Technical Event Production, Special Event and Volunteer of the Year
The Imprint Group has been named the winners of three awards; Excellence in Technical Production, Best Innovative Event ($100,001-$200,000), and Volunteer of the Year presented at the 2017 ADMEI Achievement Awards.
Winners were announced at the 12th annual Awards Gala at the Association of Destination Management Executives International annual conference in Barcelona, Spain. A global panel of judges from various organizations that participate in the Convention Industry Council, reviewed entries for events held between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016.

Excellence in Technical Production
“Ignite” wowed guests with an unrivaled production and technical entertainment experience. Five screens, including squared “live canvas” feeds bookended the 1920×1080 screens, simulating a widescreen without added expense. Slow burning flame animation and a multitude of fire effects further enhance the “ignite” theme. Incorporating both flamethrowers and CO2 cannons, required three fire department officials onsite at all times. Various entertainment acts on stage tied it all together and included flamethrowers, cirque-style acts using fire elements and singers utilizing songs that relate to “fire” and “flame.” The event energized the team so much, they in turn became an “ignited” sales force.

Best Innovative Event • $100,001-$200,000
“Destination Imagination” took guests on a trip to four unique destinations, all without leaving their seats! The evening’s journey began in the airport lounge, with a custom song performed by our flight crew. With blindfolds in place, a team of 50 transformed the room to the first destination within two minutes! Much to guests’ surprise, they found themselves in Ireland amidst hues of green, new centerpieces and watching an Irish Step group as staff placed featured drinks and Irish fare in front of them. Three additional courses/transitions featuring Japan, Brazil and Ibiza continued the adventure every time blindfolds where raised!

Volunteer of the Year • Nicole Marsh, CMP, DMCP
A past President of ADMEI and Past Chair of the Certification and Accreditation Board, Nicole Marsh, CMP, DMCP of the Imprint Group continues to give back to the organization and has serious troubles saying “no” whenever asked.
