With Colorado’s Ski Resorts opening nearly one week ago and with the Holiday season on its way, Imprint’s team has been hard at work crafting several mountain getaways – because what better way to kick off the holiday season than to be nestled in the Rocky Mountains? With the help of Imprint Events Colorado Resorts President, Dawn Harker, our team put together a Top 10 list of our Vail favorites.
- Elevated Lunch at The 10th Restaurant
Located on Vail Mountain at the top of Gondola One, The 10th is perfect for an elevated lunch experience. This ski-in, ski-out venue offers high quality dining and an impressive wine list with spectacular views of the Gore Range.
- Experience the History of Colorado Snowsports
The newly-renovated Colorado Snowsports Museum provides and outstanding interactive experience that explains everything from the founders of Colorado’s ski industry, to the progression of snowsports equipment and fashion throughout the years.
- An Epic Vail Discovery
Epic Discovery on Vail Mountain offers the Forest Flyer Mountain Coaster (winter and summer), an exciting tubing hill (winter and summer), multiple ropes courses, a zip line tour (winter and summer), a nature discovery center, a climbing wall, bungee trampoline, and more! In the summer, the Friday Afternoon Club provides live music plus food and drink specials while guests enjoy the sunset form on top of the world.
- The Local’s Favorite
The Red Lion in Vail Village has long been a local’s favorite for Apres Ski. This vibrant spot for live entertainment is an icon of Vail’s Apre’ Ski scene. Known for their sing along musical entertainment, this casual spot livens up Bridge Street.
- The Gift Givers’ Favorite
Kimosabe is a staple for picking out cowboy boots in Vail, but there is so much more! A wide variety of unique leather goods can be branded on site to create one of a kind gifts for yourself or others. Complete with a liquor license, you can make this a shopping experience, a stop on your apres ski tour or both!

- Destination Shakedown Street
For late night entertainment, head to Shakedown Street. This funky, energetic live club is Vail’s premiere music venue that is owned and operated by local, world-touring musician, Scott Rednor, who has toured with bands like Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews, Lenny Kravitz, and many more for 15 years before landing in Vail in 2009. He is currently a member of Dean Ween Group, as well as Brothers Keeper, featuring members of John Oates’ Band. You will occasionally wander into a surprise guest at Shakedown Bar that you never would have imagined seeing in such an intimate space.
- Après Souffle’
After spending the day on the mountain, there’s really only one spot in Vail to get the best après dessert. Chef Jean Michel Chelain at The Left Bank creates a soufflé that is like taking a bite of the heavens – truly a culinary experience like none other! If you can’t enjoy a classic European dinner in this authentic French restaurant, at least stop by and polish off a perfect day with a soufflé .
- Ice Skating in the Heart of the Village
Nestled in the heart of Vail Village, the Alderhof Ice Rink is a beautiful spot where skaters of all levels can experience the joy of gliding through the Rocky Mountains! For those who prefer to watch, fire pits surrounding the rink are sure to keep spectators warm. Food and drinks are plentiful in Lionshead Village, so there are several nearby options for post-skate eats!

Located at the base of Vail Mountain, the Manor Vail is a condo/hotel that is perfect for long days in the mountains where you can cook on-site. Best yet is its location! A 5-minute, beautiful walk into the main village but also backs up to Ford Amphitheater and Gardens. The Vail Manor is a great location to experience all of what’s best about Vail!
